This is where the North East genuinely differs from the rest of India. Cool, thin air in Shillong, Gangtok and Tawang pulls moisture out of skin instead of making it oily, so a hydrating or satin base sits better than a full matte, which can cling to dry patches and look uneven by the afternoon.
