When do I use makeup fixer spray: before or after makeup?

After, as the last step, to set everything. Many people also mist once on bare skin before foundation for grip. Spray from about 20 cm in an X and a T across the face and let it dry on its own. Our fixer spray guide covers the full method.

Setting spray or setting powder?

Powder controls oil and mattifies; spray melts the layers together and takes away the powdery look. Oily skin usually needs both. The setting spray vs powder comparison explains when to use which.
