Which liquid lipstick shade suits Indian skin tone?

It depends on your depth and undertone more than the colour family. Warm undertones carry the brick, terracotta and warm nude shades; cool undertones carry the pinks, berries and wine. The shade groups below sort every shade by family, and the lipstick shade finder picks for your skin in three questions.

How do I apply liquid lipstick without it looking patchy?

Exfoliate and blot balm first, so the lip is smooth but not slippery. Apply one thin, even coat from the centre outward, keep lips parted for about a minute while it sets, and do not press them together. A second coat only where needed. The making matte lipstick last guide has the full routine.

Is liquid lipstick drying?

Any matte liquid feels drier than a bullet lipstick. Prep with balm and blot before applying, use one thin coat, and remove it at night with an oil-based cleanser. Our liquid vs bullet lipstick guide compares comfort and wear.

How long does this lip colour last and is it transfer-proof?

It’s built for all-day wear. For the longest hold, blot after the first coat and apply a thin second layer — matte finishes stay put noticeably longer than glosses, and a light dusting of powder over the top helps lock colour in.

Which lip shade will suit my skin tone?

Warm undertones glow in corals, brick reds and warm nudes; cool undertones suit berries, blue-reds and rosy nudes. Not sure of your undertone? Use our free Shade Finder or preview shades live with the virtual try-on.

Is it drying or hydrating on the lips?

It’s formulated to stay comfortable, not cakey. Start with clean, moisturised lips for the smoothest application — exfoliate gently first if your lips are flaky.

Is this cruelty-free and safe for sensitive skin?

Yes. Every Metabu product is cruelty-free and dermatologist-tested, and formulated for Indian skin. Where a product page carries an ingredients section you can check the full list before you buy; for any product without one, message us on WhatsApp and we will send it.
